Wedding car — what to arrange in advance

The most common scenario is picking up the bride, driving to the ceremony, an outdoor photo session, and then heading to the reception venue. In practice that means several short trips spread over a few hours, so it's more convenient to book a car with driver on standby rather than paying for each leg separately.

It's worth allowing a buffer for delays — ceremonies rarely start on the minute, and outdoor photo sessions often run longer than planned. The driver stays on site for the whole agreed time.

With a long dress, the height of the cabin and the width of the door opening matter. The Mercedes V-Class has power-operated sliding side doors and a tall cabin, so the bride can get in without having to fold the dress or need help from several people. Light-coloured upholstery and air conditioning in the second and third rows also make a difference, especially on hot days.

A sliding table between the second and third rows gives you somewhere safe to put down the bouquet, documents or cosmetics during the drive.

One vehicle takes up to 6 passengers, so besides the bride and groom you can also bring the witnesses or parents in the same trip. For larger groups we plan shuttle runs between the church or registry office and the venue — especially useful when some guests are travelling from outside the region.

The wedding season in the region runs mainly from May to September, and free Saturday dates fill up fastest. It's worth checking availability as soon as you've set the ceremony date — confirming the booking doesn't require a full day plan yet; we work that out together later.
