Chauffeured transfer or taxi
For a short trip within the city, a taxi can be the simplest option. On airport routes, with a group and luggage, and with a fixed time to keep, the balance starts tipping in favour of a pre-booked transfer. Here's a straightforward comparison.
Certainty of timing
A transfer is booked in advance for a specific time and address, and the driver has that trip planned as the only job in that time slot. With a taxi or an app, car availability depends on the situation at that moment — at five in the morning, during wedding season, or in bad weather, that can mean waiting around.
For flights, we track the flight number, so a delayed plane doesn't mean having to book a new car after landing.
Luggage and number of passengers
One car takes up to 6 passengers with luggage, with no need to split the group across two vehicles or haggle over suitcase space. That matters for family trips, ski equipment and business delegations.
Price and how it's billed
- Transfer: the price is known before you set off, fixed per route or per hour
- Taxi: the fare depends on driving time, traffic and surcharges
- App: the rate varies depending on demand at that moment
- Transfer: an invoice and net billing for businesses are available
When a taxi is enough
For a trip of a few kilometres within the city, without luggage and without time pressure, booking a transfer doesn't make much sense. The difference shows on routes longer than a few dozen kilometres, on airport runs, and whenever the journey is part of an important day.
In short
- A transfer means a fixed time, address and price known in advance
- One car takes 6 people with luggage — no splitting the group
- For flights, we track the flight number and any delays
- For a short trip within the city, a taxi can be enough
